VBS Face Masks Required

The latest *recommendation from Pennsylvania’s Department of Health reiterates the CDC’s current COVID recommendation that states, “Children between the ages of 2 and 12, however, should wear a face covering in public settings, at events and gatherings, and anywhere indoors when they will be around other people outside of their household.” In light of this, and the fact that our VBS age group fits in this category, we will require all of this year’s VBS children to wear face masks.

A complimentary, cute, cotton, train-fabric face mask will be given to each VBS child at the beginning of night one.

While we know that wearing masks can be inconvenient, we feel that preventing a possible COVID outbreak stemming from our Church is worth the bit of inconvenience. We would never want to be the cause of anyone getting ill. As the old saying goes, “An ounce of caution is worth a pound of cure.”

We will try our best to keep the children six feet apart when possible, so that they can have opportunities to be mask-free here and there, and of course they may take their masks off to eat their snacks and outside playing games.

By the way, the cute, strong character in this picture is Ramsey! He’s one of the many characters that your child/ren will meet during our Rocky Railway VBS adventure this year! We look very forward to seeing you and yours there!
