The Importance of Children to Christ and Christianity

There is a precious children’s hymn titled I Know That My Savior Loves Me. A remarkable performance of this beautiful song, featuring the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, can be enjoyed in this video. The lyrics to it can be read at this link This is a perfect hymn to teach children; what a comfort it is for them in their youth – and throughout all of their lives – to know that they are greatly loved by Christ and that there are genuinely loving, caring adults who will help guide them on their way to knowing Christ and living in His truest of love!

This painting is from the Cathedral Church of St George in Jerusalem and is commonly called “Jesus Among the Children”. It is a marvelous illustration of the importance of children to Christ and Christianity. As parents, let us *teach our children the gentle, pure, 100% loving ways of Christ, and in so doing, truly make our world a better place for all ❤️✝️❤️ .

“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” The Words of Christ from Matthew 19:14 RSV

*If you are a parent who would like some help in raising your child in the Christian faith, please let us know. We are here to help you do this; it is our absolute pleasure and honor to do so.

Jesus’ Boundless Love

Many people feel that there’s nothing that touches one’s soul in the special way that Sunday morning – church – music does. This week’s opening hymn at APC is certainly one with marvelous soul touching qualities! It’s titled Jesus, Thy Boundless Love to Me. The picture in this post includes some of its words. A beautiful piano version of it can be enjoyed in this video.

The lyrics to this touching hymn fit perfectly with this week’s sermon, which will be based on 1John 3:1-10 (if you’d like to read this Scripture, here’s the link This Scripture selection begins with the sentence, “See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” What a truly wondrous thing God’s love is!
