We hope that you enjoy our Thanksgiving Eve Service found in the video below! It includes an two absolutely beautiful songs by The Hunter Children: God is So Good and Amazing Grace. Happy Thanksgiving!
Our Reverend Johns opened his sermon yesterday morning with these words from Deuteronomy 6:6-7, “Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.”
Did you know that Presbyterians have an outstanding and very easy, free-of-charge way to have The Word of God available to read, recite, and talk about each day in our own homes, among our family members? It is through the Presbyterian USA Daily Readings/Devotionals found at this link https://www.presbyterianmission.org/devotion/daily/.
There are readings for morning, afternoon, and night found on the devotional page. There are also beautiful, meaningful prayers to say together there with each reading of the day. These readings and prayers are edifying, encouraging, and inspiring; they can provide such a wonderful boost to participants Spiritual lives. They are indeed Daily Bread for each Presbyterian/Christian who partakes of them!
These readings are also available as an easy-to-use, convenient app. It is called The Daily Prayer app, and it does cost $2.99. It is found to be worth every penny and so much more by many users. More information about Daily Readings and the app (including the link to it), can be found on this page http://pma.pcusa.org/ministries/worship/daily-prayer/. We hope that you will join us in creating a marvelous, life-enriching family tradition of devoting time each day to the reading of God’s Marvelous Word and family prayers.
The Scripture in the picture is a quote from this morning’s reading.
Our amazing Miss Charlene is practicing an absolutely beautiful song (with her Pa and Momma joining in) for our Thanksgiving Eve Service in this video clip. We hope that you enjoy, and are blessed by, it and that you will join us online this Wednesday night at 7:00 to sing it with her it in its entirety! Thank you, Charlene, for sharing your time and talent with us at APC!
